Orbit Privacy Policy

Orbit is a personal task and focus extension designed to keep your work organized with minimal data collection.

Data stored on your device

Your tasks, priorities, due dates, saved page titles and URLs, focus history, preferences, and cached membership status are stored locally using Chrome’s storage API. This data remains on your device unless you choose to export it.

Payment and account data

Premium membership and payment processing are provided by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Orbit communicates with ExtensionPay to verify membership status. Orbit does not receive or store your full payment-card details. ExtensionPay may process your email address, payment status, plan, and payment timestamps under its own privacy terms.

Browser access

Orbit accesses the active tab only when you explicitly capture a page. It stores that page’s title and URL as part of the task you create. Orbit does not monitor browsing history or read pages in the background.

Data sharing

Orbit does not sell user data. Payment-related information is shared only with ExtensionPay and its payment processor as necessary to provide premium membership.

Export and deletion

Premium members can export their Orbit data as JSON. You can delete individual tasks, clear completed tasks, or remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the extension and clearing its site data.

Security and retention

Local data is retained until you delete it. Payment status is transmitted over HTTPS by ExtensionPay. No system can guarantee absolute security, but Orbit limits access and collection to what is needed for its task-management purpose.

Children

Orbit is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
